Dr. Kaats is CEO of Integrative Health Technologies, Inc., a public company trading under the symbol “IHTI”. IHTI provides three basic services to the healthcare and wellness industries:
(1) R & D of health-enhancing technologies and products;
(2) Independent clinical trials; and
(3) Marketing consulting and networking for the nutritional industry.
Working with co-investigators from major universities over the past 35 years, Dr. Kaats has conducted numerous independent studies evaluating the safety and efficacy of nutritional supplements, including an ongoing 15-year longitudinal trial on the effects of glyconutrients on immune health. Measurement of over 2 million sophisticated medical biomarkers taken during these studies have been compiled into one of the Nation’s largest medical data bases. The database includes over 25,000 DEXA-derived measures of “body composition” (bone, lean and fat) and almost a half a million blood chemistry measurements.
Dr. Kaats is a member, Fellow or Diplomate of a variety of nutritional and research based professional organizations. He received his PhD in psychology from the University of Colorado in 1969 while serving as an associate professor of psychology at the Air Force Academy. He retired from the Air Force in 1974 after accumulating over 7,000 hours as a navigator that included a combat tour during the Vietnam conflict and assignment as a navigator for Air Force Two.
