Dr. Pedersen is an internationally renowned scientist, author, corporate officer, motivational speaker, product formulator, and sales distributor. Dr. Pedersen has decades of successful experience in the business and science arenas, including eleven years as a vice president, and 13 years in the network marketing industry. He has worked with one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies (Ciba/Novartis); a leading sports nutrition company (Weider); and one of the world’s top network marketing companies (Nikken). Dr. Pedersen was a co-author in the best-selling book series, Chicken Soup for the Enriching Soul, authored Young Again with HGH and The Essence of Wellness, and was an expert research and development author for the much-read magazine Muscle and Fitness.
Dr. Pedersen formulates world-class products, expertly documents their benefits, credibly communicates in scientific journals, and develops international best-selling sales tools. His approach to science is unique, both in the manner in which he combines science and sales, and in his ability to make science understandable to intelligent laypeople from various backgrounds. In the corporate world, Dr. Pedersen has served as Vice President of Research & Development, Marketing/Education and Nutrition at Nikken International, and currently serves as Chief Scientific Officer for American Biotech Labs. After four years with (Ciba/Novartis), Dr. Pedersen served as a leader in research & development for Weider Nutrition. After receiving his Masters degree in Wellness, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Exercise Physiology, Dr. Pedersen also received a doctorate from the Toxicology program at Utah State University, along with two distinguished service awards. As a scientist, he has published articles in several medical journals, and played a key role in the discovery and development of a mouse model that the National Institute of Health (NIH) labs currently uses for influenza research and product development.
Dr. Pedersen has formulated more than 160 nutritional supplements/personal care products. He was one of the first to publish a double blind placebo controlled study on the benefits of protein supplementation in body builders, working in concert with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Dr. Pedersen was nominated to chair the United States Pharmacopoeia Review Board (Natural Products Committee), and hosted the radio show titled Common Sense Medicine with Dr. Pedersen.
